In this publication, we offer 1) “Why Antagonize China?” by George Gilder; and 2) “Letter from a Chinese Web User to U.S. President Barack Obama” by LTML.

The U.S.-China relations have shown significant changes in the last couple of months, which is not at all unexpected given the many differences between the two countries. This website provides you insights on this new development while at the same time suggesting that these important relations will soon return to realism by recognizing that the world cannot proceed normally without these two countries’ collaboration on many global issues.

In the Music Section, we have “Roadshow68XChina” from an unusual American William Ying. Wish you enjoy his amazing talent!

Comment by a Reader on “Being ABC” by Amy Ku

This would be an excellent article for Chinese American youth, if Amy could describe more how she hangs out with her Asian American friends at UC Davis, and how these contacts can make her realize there are many great virtues in Chinese culture. Also, the Chinese version seems missing the last two paragraphs.

Comment by Betty Turner on “Being ABC” by Amy Ku

It is sad that Amy does not recognize that she actually is an American.  I suspect Amy's father was an immigrant but became a US citizen by swearing in a US court that he would be an American.  Yet instead of helping his daughter to love the country where she was born, he taught her to think of herself as a Chinese. This type of education only makes our children feel like aliens in America. Just think of the fact there are more and more Asian Americans now are taking a leadership role in our country; should that make us proud and motivated?  Talking about discrimination; if you are not brought up to be a loving and secured person, regardless of whether you have an Irish, Indian, Chinese or other cultural background, you would in one way or another be discriminated against.   Amy, you are an American, enjoy the country!

Response by the Editor to the above Comments

Amy Koo has been invited to soon write another article for this website to tell more of her stories. They must be as touching and exciting as “Being ABC”! Let us wait and see.
