We express our sincere thanks to Peter C. Chieh, Professor Emeritus University of Waterloo and President, Central Ontario Chinese Culture Centre to give our website the permission to publish his lovely article "Convoluted Memories Over Chinese New Year" Also, click the Photo Section for the Tin Hau Temple in a small fishing village of Hong Kong during the New Year Day morning. To get enlarged photos, just click the picture itself. We wish you a very successful and happy new year, and through this cultural exchange, you may make new Chinese friends or plan trips to visit China for a real experience.

In this publication, there is also a serious topic "Problematic The One Child Family - China," by Dr. Matt Marko, Ph.D. for the Chinese government and families to think and make improvements in their process of peaceful development.

Finally, we are very happy to publish letters from our reader Jim Glaser who wishes to "find people to meet with of like mind" in the New York area.

Good luck and enjoy the friendship!

Letters to the Editor

From Jim Glaser

I am a student of Chinese language, culture and history. Have visited China. I have great respect for China past and present. I am very interested in doing all I can to help Chinese -US relations, and would like to find people to meet with of like mind.

From the Editor

You email will be posted in the March publication. Where are you located? It is very nice to know you. Hope to share the same interest with you and work together for better U.S.-China relations.

From Jim Glaser Again

Hello!  Thank you for writing.

I am located in Nyack, New York, about 15 miles northwest of NY City in the small suburb of Nyack on the Hudson River.

Please keep me posted on any activities in my area.  I am interested in meeting other folks involved in US-China relations.  I think this is extremely important now.

Best wishes and happy New Year!

Zai Jian
