News/Events
By Sheng-Wei Wang
November 1, 2007

Starting from November, our website becomes bilingual in English and Chinese. This way we will also satisfy our Chinese readers and inform them of the on-going China-U.S. relations and major events between the two nations.

Many readers have written to me via email on various topics, in particular on the political issues that merit attention. I consider these communications very positive and they have motivated me to make improvements of the website or extend the reach of the ideas presented on the site. Thank you all for your contributions. We may or may not think the same way, but we are all sharing our thoughts with the intention of making our world more peaceful and more livable.

In the political world, we continue publishing "Stopping a Nuclear Arms Race between America and China, Part (II)," a policy brief from August 2007 by Hugh White, former Deputy Secretary for Strategy and Intelligence of Australia, now Professor at the Lowy Institute for International Policy. Part (I) was published in October. In addition, we have another article "The Globalization You Do Not Know About" by Yuzhong Zhai, in which he critically examines the meaning of globalization and presents his viewpoints based on ancient Chinese philosophy.

Congratulations to Al Gore for receiving the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, soon after we introduced his book entitled The Assault on Reason, in our website October publication.

Finally, we wish you enjoy our entire website; please feel free to write to me.
