Comments Made by Harley Schlanger

Unfortunately, Rep. Pelosi's attack on China over Tibet is not motivated by concern over human rights, but is part of an escalation of tension between China and the U.S., as elements of London-connected corporate and banking interests in the U.S. are pursuing a policy of global confrontation. Their immediate targets are Russia and China. The goal is to force both Russia and China to give up their national sovereignty. In return, they will be granted the right to provide cheap labor and cheap raw materials in a new, globalized world economy, under the auspices of the WTO. In the old days, this was recognized as a policy of colonialism. It is sad that Pelosi, who is nominally the leader of the Democratic Party in the U.S. Congress, would lend her office to be used against the interests of both the people of the United States, and the people of China.

Thank you very much for your support. China and India face many challenges resulting from poverty, corruption and lack of a civil society. While in the 19th - 20th centuries, Asian countries were colonies of Western powers, they are now emerging world powers that become aware of the importance of Asian regional integration to serve their own economic and strategic interests.  The total population of China and India amounts to more than 35% of the world population and it has been predicted that in the next few decades China's GDP will top the world and India will be the fourth. It is very important that the two countries maintain a harmonious relationship to keep regional stability. The two countries had, historically, a close relationship and Indian Buddhism which spread to China is still the most popular religious belief of the Chinese people.

Both countries can learn a lot from each other and should collaborate in many areas for mutual benefits.
